The 88 passed emissions today and in doing so I learned allot on how to make them pass for others in the future that are setup similar to mine. In example headers, cam, heads. etc. THe technitian was telling me that cars 90 and older can get away with not having the AIR stuff as long as it'll npass the sniffer. I learned how to pass the sniffer. You'll have to leave your smog pump on but have the output go directly to the CAT. It's the oxygen in the air being pumped into to it that sets off the catalytic reaction. So you'll defeat your purpose of passing emissions if you take the smog pump off at least as far as every emissions test you'll want to run. If you need further help I'd be happy to do so.
