Is this normal? (pics inside)

I pulled the cam last night and am a little concerned about the bearing and old cam wear.  Particularaly, if you examine the pictures, the grey coating is worn off part of cam bearing and there are what appear to be wear marks on the lobe.  This motor only has 30,000 miles on it.  For others that have pulled their LT1 cams, did yours look like?

no thats not normal...looks like maybe oiling problems as in not enough oil to the top end..

I agree with 13secmon, looks a lot like scorch marks to me. I'd double check to make sure you're getting adequate oil to the top end.

The lobes look normal to me, but the bearing surfaces do not.  I agree with oil starvation, but have no idea what would cause it or how to fix it.

Remember when my supercharger oil feed line blew?  I think that may have done more damage then we thought.....  Well, crap!  Looks like the short block has to come apart now.  Anyone know how to get in touch with Goody Seven?  I need to pick up some forged "parts" off him now.

Yeah that defenently dosn't look normal. Juddidiah should have a lot of parts laying arround if you pm him.

I was going to say i didn't think the cam looked that bad.

Last time i talked to cody this was the number I had 801-224-3474, no promisies though.

Well the motor is out of the car and ready to be torn down.  I got in touch with Cody; he's checking on the "forged" part prices for me....  I've ditched the FMU and am replacing them with the SVO 42# injectors along with a Racetronix Pn'P system.  I think I very well may over shoot the 500 RWHP mark quite a bit by turning up the boost to 10# on a forged 9.5 to 1 bottom end  .
