« on: May 19, 2007, 01:12:45 pm »

My 99 Camaro z28, with the off-road y pipe, slp loudmouth exhaust, slp cold air kit, 160 thermostat, and program, my hp dyno was 221.3, and torque was 253.4. These are bs results, who else thinks so? It's a dynojet. However... They had a main board fail on the dyno and none of the numbers it was producing were accurate. I guess they have an engineer flying out to fix it so you should make sure you get a new run when it's fixed! You should be really close to 300 and 300 corrected of course.

So geoff are u thinking since the mother board went out that is why my numbers were so low? I was the second car to use the dyno all day... but there was something wrong with it, cause just before me a 89 lt1 vette dyno'd and put up 243 at the rear wheels, and it was stock. so i was thinking i should of at least been more than that with my mods... so what do u think? It's a dynojet

Another factor in dyno numbers is how tight was it strapped down to the rollers and how much air pressure is in the tires.  The tighter it is the lower the HP numbers, but not 100 HP.  You should be more than that.  I would say something was up with the dyno.  After they fix it, I would redo it.

Anyways.. thanks guys, i was told i should be around 290-310 at the most, and when i got the 221 i was like what the f... ha. Thanks guys

This dyno reads 20% lower than a dynojet.
