Grrrr
« on: August 22, 2005, 01:32:15 am »
My dang oil pan keeps falling off!!!!! LOL!!! Actually I'm sick of this stuipid tick that my car has been plagued with so I"m going to dig until I find it. Wrist pins are perfect, pistons are perfect, rings are perfect, I replaced the rod bearings so now i have to break them in, but the old ones were within spec. I have an LS6 ported oil pump going in so that might help. I've alredy replaced the lifters once, but I have a funny feeling they just don't get enough oil! oh well!

Also here are a couple of decals that I've been working on. I'm trying to find someone to make them for me.

Your not talking about the tick from doing a cam swap are you? All the LS-1s sound like a sewing machine after a cam swap, especially as the cam gets bigger.

No. It's defenently a much louder tick. It's moved form one spot to another each time I move the lifters around. Aparently my 2nd set also had a bad one in it as well!

Admit it!!  You just enjoy pulling it out and ripping it apart.  Nothing is wrong ;)

Actually I do love working on it. If I could do this for a living I would in a heart beat!
