2008 YAMAHA FZ1
« on: January 11, 2010, 05:27:42 pm »
Well better late than never right ? During a VERY hectic time in my life this summer I thought some retail therapy was in order so the '99 Ducati MONSTER was sold and I purchased a 2008 YAMAHA FZ1

Kevin and I made a Saturday 08/01/2009 run to Boise to pick it up, and then had a VERY wild Saturday night that followed   :metal: :wootwoot: :beerchug:

Nice.  That jacket is the same as what I use to have.  It will protect you very well, and that is from experience.  I guess I should get some pics of my new gear.  Right now all I have is a new suit and helmet.  Still need to get gloves and boots replaced.

My new suit is the GPX Type R 2 piece

I wanted the blue one, but it is discontinued and they were out of stock in my size.  But had the blue in the size above and below.  So I went with gunmetal, it goes with everything. LOL

Geoff - that suit is mine and required by NHRA.  I don't ride the 1k in the corners.   :metal:

I think Geoff knew that Cody, since that's the only way he can talk about the Bandito passing anything ;)

I still doubt he would be able to pass it.  The last time I took it up into the mountains with some friends it was still stretched and I was still hanging with the 750's but the 600's were still behind me.  I may go a bit slower in the corners, but I get to the corner along way in front of the 600's LOL.

Just poken fun with you Geoff
