Mine might be a fluke, let me know.

I tried this on mine and everything worked fine, alarm armed itself.  Are you sure yours did this correctly before?  Maybe we cut different wires?

The SS looks like it could kick your ass, the WS6 looks like it's coming over to do it!

So my radiator split...

I researched online and found the LT1 radiator is a cheap way to get a bigger radiator, and save money over my stock one.

I had 1 hole to plug off, but other than that it was a direct fit.

15/16" thick vs 1 1/4" thick

Perfect fit! 100% stock replacement as far as mounting.  All hose locations and size were correct.

I had to plug the lower hose (1/2") on the bottom of the drivers side tank, but that was the only mod.

Radiator was $110 in stock at autozone with lifetime warranty.  I spent another $15 (at checker) on a pkg of rubber cap plugs, some hose clamps, and jb weld.  I filled the cap 1/2 full with jb weld kwik, then installed and allowed to dry.  The repair should be permanent without worry of the rubber cap failing.

Is it a plastic 1/2" nipple on the tank you are pluging with the JB weld / cap ? ... just wondering ...

Visor mod:

Got tired of the swinging visors and my cheesy repair.

step 1: find visors I liked with the retaining clip to hold them in place.

answer: 95 cadillac (not sure model, 2 door though), clips, slid out extensions, dual lighted vanity mirrors.

I have tan interior, but the window trim is grey, tan visors are a neat contrast. (It had been so long since I drove the car, I didnt remember my visors were grey)

next, wire into dome light and mount, all new screw holes were needed, but looks like a factory install.

Looks good - I especially like the lighted mirror you gain.

No pics at the moment.  But I swapped out the tri-color LS1 tail lights, the the simpler, cleaner LT1 tail lights today.

While I was in there, I swapped the outer socket for a dual filament bulb.  Now there are 3 bulbs to light up when turning instead of one. Since the Brake lights and Turn signals share the same bulb filament, now,  I need to put a diode in-line to keep the turns from feeding back into the brakes. Then, I will have to see if the brakes back feed into the turns...

(I really hated the rear amber on my black car!)

Ok got it all wired up.  I ended up changing the tail lights, turn signal flasher, all 6 bulb sockets, and wiring in 4 relays to convert the seperate turn/brake functions into a basic shared system.

I used a hazard flasher in the turn location. Nice pace now, instead of the tweeker blinker that the added 2 bulbs per side caused.

I didnt have to change the last 2 sockets, but, I wanted all the bulbs to match in size and brightness.

Compact 1157 bulbs are on order for the outer most locations (reports of melted lenses).
Sequential turn signal kit also on order.

Sequential turn signals are in, straight forward install, little tweak to both the signal and hazard flashers, and I have a nice slow pronouced pattern.

It was a bunch of work to go from the LS1 tails, to the LT1 tails with sequential turns.  But well worth it!

Just when I finish one project, more parts arrive!

Strut tower brace, and Weld-in (but with bolt kit) subframe connectors.

So in my dinking around with the car looking at parts, etc...  I learned more about it.

I knew from the start that it had a newer pass side manifold (No EGR provisions).  But Looking more, it has the newer cast manifolds on both sides, plus the y-pipe is the 2000 up style.

So to go with the manifolds, LS6 intake, PCV upgrade parts, and new knock sensors are on the way, (I have a bad one)

Ive been considering lowering the car.  But, in the searching out all the details of the car, I found some stuff out.

FE4 suspension package included 1LE springs front and rear, the 1993-1995 1LE deCarbon shocks, 1LE rear lower control arms, 1LE pan hard bar, 1LE 32mm front sway-bar and 17x9 wheels with 275/40-17 tires.

So with that being said, and I love how it handles. Should I mess with it?

It depends :)

The WS6 package on mine included 1LE springs and a larger front and rear swaybar.  I have since gone to Strano springs and Bilstein shocks and love it!   With plans to do sway bars sometime.

I don't believe any lowering springs will give you the ride of stock springs.  (I do think Strano's are the best in terms of ride height and not being too aggressive while still being aggressive ???).

Any quality shocks should improve your ride of the junk factory deCarbons.  The Bilsteins do pretty well with a stock spring.  If you wanted to keep the stock spring go with those.

So - what I would do based on scenarios:

-Stock soft ride, stock height = replace shocks with Bilsteins and enjoy the ride :)

-Lower a bit, nice but aggressive ride, and I have $$$ = Strano springs and Koni adjustables

-Lower a bit, nice but aggressive ride, but I'm broke :( = Strano springs and Bilsteins (the Bilsteins won't control all the spring, and will wear out faster than Koni's, but will do pretty good for a while)

Then if you do lower it, get some Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets.  And probably add Strano swaybars when you are ready for more aggressive turning.

The SS looks like it could kick your ass, the WS6 looks like it's coming over to do it!

It turns pretty good now, not sure if I will mess with sway bars.

The lower control arm relocation brackets are on my list anyway, I need more traction!

I dont mind the height, so maybe bilstiens when the time comes...
