RMR tonight
« on: July 23, 2010, 05:33:17 pm »
I'm here now doing trial runs. First run was a bit disappointing. Didn't hook well

.016 RT
2.052 60'
13.780 @ 101.86

Hot as hell. Hopefully I can improve

Pretty good RT. - I'm surprised your 60 is that low, do you not have real tires for that real rear end?  Pretty consistent to it seems.  Nice job!

The SS looks like it could kick your ass, the WS6 looks like it's coming over to do it!

???  What rules have you heard?  This is what I could see in the rule book:

ROLL BAR: Mandatory in any vehicle running 11.49 or quicker, convertibles 13.49 or
quicker

Are you quicker than 13.49?

Last run of the night (got eliminated on a red light)

13.77 dial
-.015 RT
1.904 60'
13.609 @ 100.54

The slicks are et streets, but the problem is the rusty driver :). The car has more in it, I just need to launch it better.

I am pretty disapointed in my mph, but I know why it's low. Valves are floating over 5300 rpm, it feels like a rev limiter. Easy fix though, time for some valvetrain upgrades

Most likely not quicker, I keep forgetting about the altitude.

You knew this GEEEEEOFFFF!!!  ;) http://forums.ufba.org/index.php/topic,2931.0.html

I put on a Vortech V2 SQ a few months back.  No intercooler etc, I saw a max of 5# of boost that night due to the heat.  Ive seen 6-7 in the past on cooler days / non heat soaked motor.

Its not much, but it helps a little :)  Cant push it much further for fear of grenading those poor stock pistons :)
