Hey guys,

August 21 will be the date for the Bear Lake cruise. For those of us in the SLC area, I was thinking we could meet up at say, the Layton Hills Mall parking lot at around 10am or so (or someplace closer to Bountiful), convoy up to Logan, meet the Logan people's at Lee's around 11. From there head up to Bear Lake and do lunch at 12 or 1? I was also thinking that after lunch for those that want (I'm assuming there is a public beach) we could go swimming or something (Wife's idea here, so throwing the idea out there to you guys).

Good chance ill have my car torn apart, we'll see. Id like to make it especially since we'll be up there again camping over labor day - i'd like to scout out our trip, havent speant much time at bear lake.

Just replacing valve springs - might end up replacing rockers / studs / pushrods though while Im in there. He had installed rockers - but if they are self aligning, I think im gonna replace them (I havent had the valve covers off yet to look).

I will be getting my carb back middle of next week so I am hoping to have it on and running by Saturday so I can bring the car. If not, I'll have it ready for Peach Days for sure.

Well since I jut back from 552 miles of FUN ! that included Bear Lake, I won't be able to make it

Well If I was going to be in Logan, I could still make it too bear lake, BUT I'll be going the other direction Saturday morning .. sorry

Well, there are 5 of us that are "Maybes". 4 of us have broke/torn down cars and the 5th may be out of town. Maybe we should just cancel this.

For what it's worth, I'll be there, Layton Hills mall 10am on Saturday right behind the Olive Garden. Hopefully I'll have my car running but if not, one again my Avalance will Represent! We'll head on up to Lee's in Logan by 10:30 and be there by 11:30ish. ON the road by 12 and lunch at 1 in Bear Lake. I'd like to stop at the lookout again as it's kind of cool. We can do lunch at that same resteraunt we did last time (I forget the name). After that I want to try and find a Beach or some place to go swimming (I'll have the wife and girls with me) so any of you who want to do that are more than welcome to join us.

I can't the week after as I have the weekend duty at my shop on base that weekend but if you guys want to meet up next weekend that's up to you all. I wish I had more saying they could go, looks like it's just going to be me. I will still be there @1000 behind the Olive Garden at the Layton Hills mall exit 331 in the mall parking lot. Will have the truck as wife and kids are going and I have yet to test drive my car other than going around the block once after getting it running today.
