« on: February 11, 2011, 12:10:19 pm »

Sweet, good luck with it. 4th gen ring gears are still supposed to be pretty anemic.

The SS looks like it could kick your ass, the WS6 looks like it's coming over to do it!

yea a 3rd gen 10 bolt and a 4th gen 10 bolt are identical, other than the 4th gen rear being about 2" wider per side ...

7 5/8" :( < 8.875" / 9" :)

I like your thinking. I say that because I am doing the exact axle you were searching for in my 92. My swap's a no brained since my car has 2.73s and I have a set of SS wheels for it. Now if I could just get my spacers for the front id be set.

your runnin 4th gen rims?  I was always curious if they would fit with spacers, and I was wondering if my tire will sit back in the wheel-well with 4th gen rims on the back....  I'd love to see a pic if you got one...?

I would, but the rear axle isn't in my car yet. Hopefully within the next week it will. If I get it done soon I'll post a pic for ya.

Got my 4th gen axle today, welded the axle tubes, cleaned it up, and got everything installed except for the control arms, and the e-brake.  Looks like a spring load to the caliper?  Anyone have wisdom on how this thing hooks up?  :help2:

on a funny note, spent 45 mins trying to bleed the brakes.  used a vacuum pump to get out all the air then had my wife pump the brakes while I bled them.  She kept saying the were all the way to the floor, finally I checked them after filling up the  master cylinder and they were SUPER tight.  then she jumped in and continued to tell me they were to the floor while I cracked the bleeder.  After 15 mins of that I peeked in the cab to see her pumping the clutch, lmao.    remind me not to let her take the Camaro to the store, lol  :Unexpected:

on the road with a squeak around hard corners...?  other than that, feels really good! and by good I mean STIFF  :icon_lol: the stance is a little wider than I like but whatever for now.  My only problem is that its definitly not a 3.73 ratio, I'm thinking more 2.73 because its a DOGG off the line, so I'll get the diff cover pulled to find out (should of looked when it was off >:( )  So I'll just say "upgrades to come!  :beerchug:
