My car is bone stock. I'm sure these people know what a 2000 TA looks like. And I don't have any nice pictures of my car, just camera phone stuff, and my camera phone stucks

I should say, was bone stock.. It's not much, but I've ripped out my EGR and AIR system so I can change my spark plugs..

I could have had a WS6, but the fast agressive styling scared the hell out of me. I went with the SS because it was so cute!

We should move this from the spark plug thread

It will take a lot more than a turbo to make your Chev faster than my bike. Weighs twice as much as the Talon (thats right ladies and gentelmen, he's a convert from the 4 banger side), and has less power.. We'll see who's faster this summer.. Or this weekend, I'm down when ever

Ya, but the Chevy should make more tq then the talon...which was only at 432 ft/lbs. I'm shooting for over 500 to the rear wheels. Granted less power and little more weight...should make up for it in acceleration, hopefully. Either way, I plan on working your bike lol

Your car might be able to one day beat me on the freeway, but only on the freeway.. But it won't be this year, and it won't be from a launch

Why destroked on a turbo motor? If you don't mind me asking

Why destroked on a turbo motor? If you don't mind me asking
few reasons destroking it let me fit a taller piston in the motor, stronger top ring land and a better ring package less liable to rock in the bore.

#2 i had planned on running in a displacement limited class when i was in nj 3L and under
#3 able to turn alot more rpms

it extended my rpm range a good 1,800 - 2,000 rpms
but the cam i have in it is only good to about 8,200, i was a lil to conservative when i speced out the cam
solid roller cam  278/268 on 114lsa .550/.550 lift
next cam will be 276/278 115lsa .575/.575

my old 3.1 would safely rev to 7,500 which would be the same as a normal 3.4 just a smaller bore, the destroked motor should go safely to about 9,500 give or take

Hi all,
I’m Doug.  Joined a about two years ago while building my LT1.  It was originally going in to a 85 Vette, that was until money and time ran out. So I picked up a salvaged 94 TA to put it in.
This TA has been a work in progress ever since.  It’s .60 over, 400 crank (the strong version of the 383) with a 290 cam 58mm throttle body, roller rockers/lifters, MSD ignition coil, Pro Comp Opti (not recommended). ported/polished, home made cold air intake, Headers, custom exhaust (she's loud), computer tuning (will never be finished)  4.11 gears with Vette wheels (still can’t hook up) and a 200 shot of NO2 when all motor isn’t enough!

The car is:
“Faster then Sin”
“Unreliable as Hell”

I would like to say thanks to all who help put this forum online and those who participate.  Always get great help and feed back.

I am new to cars and all this. So just checking out all the forums and groups. I don't know that much yet, but am trying to learn.

thebrainhart told me about this one so I am here to check it out.

I have a 2010 Camaro SS/RS Rally Yellow.

hey everyone,
i just got a 95 z28 seems to be all stock except cai headers and 3" exhaust, has a clatter im guessing exhaust leak or valves on the passenger side, and needs tires.  i liked driving it home but got to try and save up to get it ready to pass inspections. hope to go on some cruizes next year

Hey All! Glad to be here! I just got my acceptance e-mail so I am going to spend some time filling out my profile which will prove to you that at this point I am just an obsessed poser with no resources to purchase what I need. For now I am here to learn and be educated so when the time comes, I have one best of a machine...
