Due to sunny weather decided to take the Benson loop today ... 441 miles since purchase 08/28 ... looks like the low mileage trend Jeremy started is being followed, BUT $ per mile is REALLY EXCESSIVE at this point ;)

Maybe I should trade it in and hang out with the 'vettes  (crappy pic, but look behind the stripper)

nice!! i like the strut tower brace. I wish I would have had that color option instead of red or black.

You need a GREEN one ;) I hope the silver matches the car somewhat ...

STB installed  and since it is more of an appearance mod than a handling item, I am OK with how the silvers match  :beerchug:

Looks good, but the real question is... is it a racecar now?  ;)

I wouldn't mind picking one of those up for my Catfish.

I always called in the pain in the ass mod.  It was always in the way any time I wanted to work on the car, and I had to remove it.

Yes but with an LT1 you had to work on it A LOT more often

NOPE ! I've had too work and 12 hour shifts kick my ass even more in winter time  :'(

I did get the valve stems installed, and the center caps removed, in prep for install, BUT haven't decided which tire store to try and "trust" yet :(  :sherlock: The machined lip on the wheels is BEAUTIFUL, and I'm afraid I will have to threaten there life with the tire mounting, as it is not near as durable as chrome (clear over machined vs hardness of chromium)

If you know how to do it, and trust yourself, my buddy owns a brand new lube shop with a brand new tire machine and balancer.... I'll bet he'd let you do it yourself (with him supervising).  Its clear down this way though (in spanish fork).  Not sure if thats helpful?

I dont know much about how to be 100% certain there wont be damage..... but its a brand new machine so?

Well I got the local Les Schwab to mount and balance the tires, new shop so I figured at least the equipment would be good .. overall 9/10 on the work performed :)

"The  STRIPPER" has new shoes  :pimp:

So far the tires (Nitto NT05's) are AMAZING !  in a straght line I can break them loose "flashing" them from about 2.5k in first gear, and a little bit on the shift to second gear, BUT in the corners the grip is insane, haven't found the "edge of darkness" on these cold roads yet

I highly recommend a Lou's short stick and a hurst shifter..... had one on the 97, it was SOOOOOOOOOO much better than stock.  In my 94 I remember having a hell of a time getting it into 3rd quickly when racing, but with the hurst and the short stick, it was cake.   One of the best mods I did to that car.

The car came with a B&M ripper ;)

I would have probably gone Pro 5.0, BUT I does seem to work well ! Think a shorter stick would stil be benificial ?

Yes I still think you would love the Lou's shirt stick.

I'm curious to see if you notice any Increase in noise with the solid rod end LCAs.

Well I guess it depends on the vintage of my B&M ripper, BUT I may or may NOT have a bolt on stick ...

I guess if it a solid stick version, then I can always thread further down the shaft, and cut too length :)

And I'm sure the rod ended LCA's will add some more noise, they did on the '82 Z, BUT on the '02 they will have to wait in line behind the rear gears whine :( and the loud mouth exhaust ;)
