LT1 and LS1 rear brake differences
« on: September 29, 2005, 08:20:59 pm »
Hey, what's the difference?  Particularly the rotors.

I replaced my rear axle shafts with LS1 shafts (theres a slight difference), but kept my stock brake setup including the rotors.  But now I noticed that the rotors seem to wabble or something.  Tomorrow I'll pull it apart and check out what its doing for sure.  Anyhow, is the LS1 rotor different than the LT1's?  And how?

Thanks!

No, I dont think so.  I investigated more today, and found out that the LS1 axle shaft makes the rotor sit too close to the LT1 caliper, making it rub on there.  I guess I need to switch to an LS1 rear brake system too.  I'm getting the LS1 front system next week, and I guess I'll have LS1 all around.
