2 weeks ago I got up enough courage and replaced my clutch. I have a 2000 ss camaro with about 74000 on it. The install went smooth (easier than I thought). When I bought my tranny fluid it was late and the only thing autozone had in stock was the cheapest stuff. Instead of waiting until the next day to get what I wanted I put in the cheapest auto zone brand.

On the test drive the clutch grabbed great but it was hard to get in gear, esspecially 1st and reverse. Powershifing was out of the question. Then the thoughts flooded my mind, What did I do wrong?

The car was still driveable so thats what I did for about 2 weeks. Yesterday I replaced the tranny fluid with Mobile 1 synthetic and my car is back to normal. It now shifts smooth and is easy to put in gear. I never thought fluid would do that much. I am wondering if anyone else has had, or heard of this problem?
