I didn't have a big load of converters to ship today, so I took the Trans Am. On my way to FedEx, headed eastbound on 80, I looked up the road and saw the unmistakable rear end of a new Ferrari. I missed my exit and tried to play with him a little, but it didn't seem like a go. I knew how stupid it was to try running a Ferrari from a roll, but I really wanted to run him. Finally at the base of Parleys with me in the lane behind him, he punched it! I get it, wait until there are turns to race the lowly little FBody. As soon as he punched it, I did, too. 70 mph UP a mildly curved road against a Ferrari Superamerica v12, and I am pulling! I actually was able to get into the lane next to him and about 2 lengths in front of him by just over 120! I thought this certainly would be a kill story for him; I mean really, who runs a Ferrari from a 70mph roll.
Oh yeah, the 200 shot goes on this weekend, this was completely N/A!
The car:
98 LS1 383 TransAm
Heads with 230/235 cam
373s
3200 converter
I guess I feel pretty good about the new setup. Didn't dyno as much horsepower as I'd have liked, but it seems pretty capable. Can't wait to get to the track with the juice.
